Ken McCoy started cutting trees in the wild and selling them to retail stores in 1971. While attending the University of Colorado he opened his first tree lot in 1978. He then expanded and opened lots in California and Oregon around 1980. After years of hard work he was able to purchase his first farm in Estacada, OR by 1988 where he currently farms about 200,000 trees. Together with his wife Darleen, other family members, and close friends he operates anywhere from 20-40 lots every Christmas. He also allows families to visit the tree farm in Oregon to traditionally cut their own tree (or have them cut by one of our staff). With every kind of tree decoration available, they can also visit the Sleighbells gift shop. You can visit them too at www.sleighbells.biz
